Campania, the region, which is known as stunningly beautiful (who doesn’t know the beauties of Neaples, Pompei, Ischia, Capri, Sorrento and all the Amalfi coast?), is also a region of the wonderful warmhearted people and some of the best gourmet products. One of my favourites is a special tomato, called pomodorino di piennolo which grows on Vesuvius, the sweetest and most intense tomato I have ever eaten (and I tried many of them). Campania is also the region where the great mozzarella di bufala comes from, best pasta and many other ingredients. It is also the region of some of the best Italian chefs and pizzaioli, the traditional soft sublime Neapolitan pizza.
